The Chippewa River Watershed Project monitors the health of the watershed by collecting data through a variety of methods ranging from intense and expensive to low input and inexpensive. All the data collected is analyzed together to gain a clearer picture of the watershed, water quality and water quantity issues.
Impaired Waters-The Chippewa River Watershed has several stretches of river and lakes that have been listed as impaired for at least one parameter. See map(pdf) and check out the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for more information on Impaired Waters and Total Daily Maximum Loads (TMDL).
